Spitfire!

Spitfire! These may not be the most artistic photographs but sometimes life experiences are just more important! A few weeks ago, a friend asked what was left on my Bucket List for my last few months remaining. I replied that I had done so much since I was diagnosed, I'm feeling pretty complete - except for the impossible dreams of climbing Mount Vinson in Antarctica and flying a Spitfire! Well, with thanks to some amazing friends, they somehow pulled off the latter and here I am. Flying in and actually piloting an original WWII Spitfire. MJ-627 really did see action and shot down an ME-109 over Holland. It also still has the original airframe and fuselage. Experiences like this don't come around often. Flying in and actually piloting an original WWII Spitfire from Biggin Hill to doing a Victory Roll over Beachy Head, the original Battle of Britain airspace. MJ-627 really did see action and shot down an ME-109 over Holland. It also still has the original airframe and fuselage.
